Chaplin Bay Beach Bermuda Has Large Wall Of Coral

Chaplin Bay is a small beach located on the southwest coast of Bermuda in Warwick Parish, between Stonehole Bay and Horseshoe Bay. It is 3.3 miles south southwest of the capital city of Hamilton. The beach has a large wall of coral that partially divides the beach in two and extends above the water. The beach completely disappears during high tide and storms. The beach is partially surrounded by cliffs. Chaplin Bay Beach Bermuda is fairly secluded and does not receive a lot of traffic, making it an excellent place to unwind in solitude. There is a trail that connects Chaplin Bay to Horseshoe Bay and the other beaches of South Shore Park.

Can Be Used As A Wedding Venue

Chaplin Bay is a pink sand beach with somewhat rough waters, however swimming is still safe if done close to the shore. Between February and October, white-tailed tropical birds known as longtails can be seen swooping in and out of their cliff-side nests. Chaplin Bay has public restrooms and picnic tables available but no other amenities. Fortunately, Horseshoe Bay is about a half mile walk away on the trail and has showers as well as beach concessions. Chaplin Bay can be used as a wedding venue by contacting the Department of Parks.
