Water Rocks Beach is located on the southwest coast of Bermuda in Warwick Parish, 3.5 miles south-southwest of the capital city of Hamilton. There is a trail leading to Water Rocks Beach from South Shore Park. Water Rocks Beach has several large boulders that extend from the sand well into the water. The beach is quite small, being wedged between two large boulders.

Water Rocks Beach does not have public restrooms available nor are there lifeguards stationed so families with small children may wish to visit another beach instead. There are no concessions available at this beach. The beach is in a highly popular area with tourists, so visitors should arrive early to make sure to get a good spot.

There are two golf courses less than a mile away from Water Rocks Beach: Turtle Hill Golf Club at the Fairmont Southampton and Riddell’s Bay Golf & Country Club. Gibbs Hill Lighthouse, the oldest cast iron lighthouse in the world, is located a mile to the west of Water Rocks Beach. A gorgeous panoramic view of Bermuda’s coastline can be taken in by climbing the 185 steps to the top of the lighthouse. Admission to the lighthouse is free but there is a gift shop and on-site restaurant that guests may choose to visit.

There are several restaurants within easy walking distance of Water Rocks Beach, just a half mile to the west. These include Bacci, Jasmine Lounge, Ocean Club, The Dock, The Newport, Waterlot Inn, Wickets, and Windows on the Sound. Bacci is a fine dining Italian restaurant known for its pasta. Ocean Club and Windows on the Sound are both informal restaurants serving Caribbean cuisine. Waterlot Inn is a fine dining restaurant and Wickets is the most casual restaurant of the bunch.

The closest hotel to Water Rocks Beach is the Fairmont Southampton situated a half mile to the west of the beach. The Fairmont Southampton is a massive 5-star resort with a total of 593 guestrooms. The resort has received the AAA Four Diamond Award and has also been honored by numerous respected travel publications such as Travel + Leisure and Conde Nast Traveler. The resort is situated on 100 acres and features a shopping center, Bermuda’s largest spa, an award-winning golf course, a health club, six restaurants, a beauty salon, and complimentary breakfast. In-room amenities vary depending on guests’ choice of room.

Other nearby hotels within a two-mile radius of Water Rocks Beach include Longtail Cliffs Apartments, The Reefs, Granaway Guest House & Cottages, and Blue Horizons. The Reefs is a smaller resort than the Fairmont Southampton with just 61 guestrooms. There are four styles of rooms, seven styles of cottages, and three styles of suites available. The resort features live entertainment nightly and three restaurants. All of The Reefs guestrooms overlook the beach and ocean. Granaway Guest House & Cottages is a large Bermuda manor house that was built in the mid-1700s. It is a small property with just ten guestrooms, all with private bath.
